PolyViper — Privacy Policy

PolyViper is a browser extension that enhances the polymarket.com experience: it un-truncates market titles and reconstructs a FIFO trade ledger (realized / unrealized P&L, fees, CSV export) for the Polymarket profile you are viewing.
What data the extension handles
- Wallet address of the viewed profile. When you browse a Polymarket portfolio or profile page, the extension reads the public wallet address that the page itself uses in its requests to Polymarket's API. This is a public blockchain address, not a private key or credential. It is used solely to determine which wallet's trade history to display.
- Public trading data.The extension fetches trades, activity, positions and market metadata for that wallet from Polymarket's official public APIs (
data-api.polymarket.com,gamma-api.polymarket.com,clob.polymarket.com). All of this data is publicly available to anyone without authentication.
Where the data goes
- Everything stays on your device. All fetched data and computed results are stored locally in your browser's extension storage (
chrome.storage.local). Nothing is ever uploaded anywhere. - The extension uses no developer-operated backend. This statement applies to the PolyViper browser extension, not the polyviper.com website. The extension has no backend, analytics, telemetry, error reporting, or advertising. Its only network requests are to Polymarket's official domains listed above.
- CSV exports are generated locally and saved only to your computer.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data with anyone.
- It does not access private keys, funds, or your Polymarket account credentials, and it cannot place trades.
- It does not track your browsing. Its content scripts run only on polymarket.com.
Data removal
Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data. You can also clear it at any time via Chrome's extension storage settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new effective date.
